You love justice? I don't like this lady. I don't see in her eyes, she has a balance and a sword in her hands. If you start with asking for justice, or even for "more justice" you will never get peace and you may loose sympathy and love. It is impossible to agree on what "justice" really means. Please define it before you love it. What are "just prices" ?- only God knows it. I love liberty and spontanous order, but I don't waste my energy with any type of hate. I don't hate justice, but I don't belive, that it is a good idea to start with justice when you try to exchange, to communicate, to cooperate and to love.

On the contrary, being a copy cat is the only way civilizations have and can develop. People copy and test ideas and methods in the real world, and the ones which serve people the best become more widely adopted. How did you all learn to speak? I learned by copying. I guess that makes me a bad person. Fine. Better a literate copycat than an illiterate caveman.

"Being a copy cat is not ok."

But it's OK to threaten them with violence to get them to stop copying?

Tom it sounds to me like the monkey improved upon the original hat, would you also say that improving an existing product is a horrible thing to teach kids?

CA's ag inspection really was for real. It's because fruit flies didn't exist in the wild in California and do in the neighboring states.

Doomed to failure in the long run (I wouldn't be surprised if it's already failed) but I can see why the agriculture people wanted to keep fruit flies out. Same reason Britain is fanatical about animals -- they don't have rabies anywhere on the island.

As the mother of a disabled son, I cannot fathom this. I, try as I might, also cannot find any compassion for this "mother". In my experiences with disabled children, they are the brightest rays of sunshine. They live in the moment and have no understanding of any limitations. These children are untainted by pessimism and only desire love and affection. My son passed away in my arms of leukemia two years ago, and I would give ANYTHING to have him back. This woman chose to end her child's life. May they put her in solitary confinement with no lights and a miniscule amount of food. I am not an evil person, I just cannot crying from the pain that this little girl went through. She can't blame DHS. This is all on her. She was her mother.

Have fun! Be careful out there in the People's Republik of Kalifornia. Lucky me, on my last trip out there I didn't run afoul of the Party's Secret Police.
