		<description>CA&#039;s ag inspection really was for real.  It&#039;s because fruit flies didn&#039;t exist in the wild in California and do in the neighboring states.

Doomed to failure in the long run (I wouldn&#039;t be surprised if it&#039;s already failed) but I can see why the agriculture people wanted to keep fruit flies out.  Same reason Britain is fanatical about animals -- they don&#039;t have rabies anywhere on the island.</description>
